Careers     

The Careers Services Centre (CSC) is committed to providing information, opportunity and support to students as they develop, evaluate, and effectively initiate their career plans. The CSC also encourages students of Classes 11 and 12 to join the Careers Club, to increase their awareness of application procedures and details, such as recommendation letters, SOPs, and the importance of co-curricular records.

The following initiatives have been implemented under the guidance of the Headmaster Mr. D. N. A. Mountford and the Senior Management Team at the Assam Valley School.

• Getting professional career counselors like Dr. Amrita Dass and her team of senior career counselors from Institute for Career Studies (ICS), Lucknow.

• One-on-one counseling for the child along with parents.

• Monitoring the career track record of a child based on his/her aptitude, interest and personality from Classes 9 – 12.

• Personality aptitude testing, career scope, Notes to Myself and Careers Spectrum catered to Classes 9 to 12 by the ICS.

• Careers advisors and resource personnel on campus every term.

• Organising a Careers fair comprising of 35 stalls highlighting education opportunities worldwide.

• Fortnightly career updates on the careers notice board
