Basketball

Basketball is one of the most popular sports at the AVS. Boys and girls show equal enthusiasm to play and learn the skills of Basketball. The Assam Valley School has two hard courts and one grass court for Basketball. A new international indoor synthetic Basketball court will be laid out by the end of this year.

A large number of students practice Basketball to represent their houses in the Inter-House tournament. A section of boys and girls take Basketball as their specialization and practice the game throughout the year. They represent the school in Inter-school Basketball meets. This year the boys and girls teams have played against the Loyola School, Nagaon as well as the St. Xavier’s Junior college, Balipara. The next match has been scheduled against the Livingstone Foundation School, Dimapur.
