Chess

Chess is one of the oldest and most popular among board games. It is a two-player board game where both the players play using strategy and skill to defeat the other. The Assam Valley School from the very beginning has given importance to the game of Chess. Our school offers its students the opportunity to take up Chess as a weekly co-curricular activity at the Lower School and Upper School levels. We organize an Inter-House Chess Competition every year at two levels; Lower and Upper. Our students get the opportunity of participating in the IPSC Chess Competition across various age groups and open events as well. For skill enhancement and exposure, we hold workshops which are conducted by exerts.
