There are some people whose dreams are not only confined to their bedrooms, imaginations not tied to a notepad, but they also dream every day, they dream for a living; filmmakers. Yet to do it with exquisiteness and flamboyance that leaves an indelible mark in the minds of people – that’s a true blue lens man!  In simple language, the joy of film-making is a reward in itself. There is a certain privilege attached to the practice of living life through someone else’s eyes. When a million people watch your movies, you want them to watch a million different movies, their personal experience of the same movie. It is no longer about the end or the middle, it’s about a beginning that never stops beginning. Ideas can come from anywhere, which resonate your inspiration or fuel your imagination. Authenticity and originality are non-existent, and as Jean-Luc Godard once said: “It’s not where you take things from, but where you take them to”.

We at the Electronic Media always strive to educate as well as entertain; throw light on social causes through films. We want to ensure training through hands-on experience, train more cinematographers and editors for the years to come. One of the best things films can do is to encourage creative thinking, to let your mind see things from a hundred different perspectives.

We make ‘AVS NEWS’ at the end of every semester which shows the events and the achievements of the semester gone by. Aviator Motion Pictures make more short films for competition around the country. To learn the skills and nitty-gritty of film-making we conduct film-making workshops using professionals as a resource person. Amidst ideas, dreams, passion and creativity, we at Electronic Media, provide amazing opportunities to students in fueling their ambitions into possibly taking up film-making as a career that is fulfilling as well as rewarding.

There are actually no rules in film-making. For an ordinary person, you finish watching a movie in a couple of hours and never even think about the tireless days, months or perhaps years of hard work that went into what you have just seen. Frankly, it doesn’t bother us, because the sweat and tears that we put into every minute detail, the endless hours of perfecting the imperfections, those nights when you end up sleeping on the keyboard and most importantly the thrill can only be understood by a fellow filmmaker. Before the premiere, even thirty minutes of sleep is almost all we need and when it gets morphed into a beautiful piece of art, something in you comes alive. It is something that we will never be able to explain. It is something that can only be understood by people who look at the world ‘24 frames per second’.
