“On the Occasion of Bihu, a ” Modified Chulha” was donated to 20 needy families of our SESSA Community. This “Energy-efficient and Smokeless” Chulha was developed to help those families who are still using the chulha as a hybrid cooking method to save on the cost of LPG.
This was a collaborative project of the “Science Club and the Social Service League” of The Assam Valley school. The design of the chulha ensures efficient combustion of wood to reduce the cooking time; a small chimney is also attached on top that removes the smoke to give a smokeless cooking area.
