On the 5th of November, the AVS community offered Shardhanjali to Dr Bhupen Hazarika. The community came together in an open air meet to light the lamp and offer a floral tribute to the Bard of Brahmaputra whose legend continues to resonate amongst us to this day. After a brief introduction, the Department of Assamese in collaboration with the Indian Music Department presented Sudhakontho ‘s popular numbers sung by a choir comprising students and teachers.
