Social Service League

The Social Service League has always ridden high and considered it a privilege to serve humankind. The Aviators have endorsed social service more than just an activity in our aurora. From reflecting upon our school song to being a helping hand for our utility workers, The Social Service league has successfully inculcated the virtues of kindness, empathy and compassion. The Literacy Programme, Junior Red Cross and The Interact Club operate under the aegis of Social Service League.

Our Literacy Programme supports the development of reading skills in young underprivileged children by providing textbooks and stationery essentials from our institution. Our student community explores nearby schools and spreads awareness regarding the importance of reading understanding.

The Interact Club is the junior wing of the Rotary club instilled on the pillars of taking action, international understanding and to make friends around the world.  It brings together young minds to flourish a sense of leadership while unearthing the strength of service before self.

The Junior Red Cross is the Student’s wing of the Red Cross. We work for the motto ‘I serve’ and enable our fellow aviators with a quality of being empathetic. The society aims at promoting health, providing service to the sick and suffering and developing national and international friendliness. The programs are chalked out in such a way to suit occasions, locations and social requirements. The juniors along with our medical team visit nearby villages and markets to conduct regular pharmaceutical and curative camps.

The SSL is a thriving team of teachers and students who dedicate their time and energy towards serving the needy. We organise Fund-raising events to support our initiatives and the school provides us with funds generously for our projects. Activities like working regularly with the orphanages, old-age homes and the Moran Blind School, collecting clothes, toys and books for distribution, engagement in flood-relief projects have given us the opportunity to give back to the society we live in. Social Service is a way of life at AVS.
