The East India Debates
Host School: The Assam Valley School
The 18th edition of The East India Debates, one of North East India’s much-anticipated event was held from September 13th to 16th September. The event saw twelve teams fighting it out for the trophy of Athena, specially shipped from Greece. Team Blue from The Assam Valley School represented by Aayat Hazarika, Norzin Lhamu , Aakansha Kumar, Anushka Jitani reached the quarter finals and Team Blue of the host School led by Priyanu Priyanka Kashyap, Srishti Bajaj, Hana Shanifer Ahmed and Ojasvi Agarwal reached the semi finals in a very keenly contested debate. Priyanu Priyanka Kashyap was adjudged as the Best Speaker of the tournament. The keenly contested finals saw St. George’s College, Mussoorie, edging out Bishop Cotton School, Shimla for the trophy as winners.
