The Art, Craft Design & Technology departments form the Visual Arts arm of The Assam valley school. Creativity is nurtured through artistic and practical mediums of doing and making. The students are encouraged to give form to their self-expressions and learn to communicate meaningful expressions. The students take the legacy forward by pursuing higher studies in institutes like National institute of design (NID), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Savannah college of Art & Design (SCAD), Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) Baroda, Santiniketan and Pearl Academy, to name a few.
The Art Department houses diverse artistic techniques like drawing, painting, pottery, sculpture and installation art. In painting, the students work with various mediums and techniques like Pencil drawing, Shading, Calligraphy, Pen & ink, Canvas Painting, Acrylic, Oil colour, Water colour, Poster colour, Dry pastels, etc. Portrait study, casting & moulding, clay modelling, mural, relief & 3D sculpture, ceramics firing and glazing, papier Mache are some other mediums that are explored.
